Childhood Wonders

Lately, I have been obsessing on original fairy tales and stories behind nursery rhymes. For those who don't know yet, happy endings and animals singing with people were not exactly how the original fairy tales were written. The stories written were gruesome and filled with violence and scenes not appropriate for kids. Before the Disney company came and sanitized princess stories, the Grimm brothers are among writers who wrote their twisted origins. I was both amazed and disturbed by the new things I have read and so to clear all the macabre off my head, I decided to make my own list of some weird logically-distorted flaws that I have witnessed throughout my childhood days that I only notice now that I'm older.

How much does Jimmy Neutron's head weight exactly? Is the mass equal to
that of his body? Science has some explaining to do.

Doesn't Spiderman's ever mask suffocate him?

I believe Pluto and Goofy are both dogs, but then Goofy can stand up straight and talk like a human being while Pluto stays in a kennel. Where's the equality in that?

Is Tweety a he or a she

Rock-a-bye-baby is a creepy lullaby for kids. Think about it, why would you sing about a baby falling from a tree to your kid?

How does one grow a dog this big exactly? I'm sure the government would waste no time turning this humongous canine into a mass weapon of destruction.

What kind of entity is “Red” in Cow & Chicken and I am Weasel? If he is what I think he is, then he is the best cartoon villain ever! haha

How do the Powerpuff Girls hold stuff exactly?

How come Shaggy stays slim even with all the food he's eating? And please don't tell me he's vegetarian, I've seen him wolf down on enough dairy and meat products to annoy every vegetarian on earth.

Not sure if Winnie the Pooh just forgets to put pants on or he's trying to rock a new look.

So there you go, questions that were long over-due. I guess that when you're a kid, imagination, unbelievable things and pixie dust occupy so much room in you heart that doubt and real-world realities are left being settled in the future.
